About a week or so ago my perspective changed. There was a point at which I looked down at my belly and was like: "It's huge," to then look into the mirror and recognize it's lack of hugeness. Now I look down and am like: "Is that it? It feels much bigger," to then check myself in the mirror and think: "damn! I am getting big!). And I know I've got a lot more growing to go!
I had my first pregnancy acupuncture today! It was amazing. He did a mix of acupuncture and reiki and reflexology and massage work. And he made a house call, so it all went down in the comfort of Avi's room (most space for a massage table).
I had the acupuncture done cause my back is KILLING me (specifically my sacrum)! Granted I bring it upon myself. I mean who wants to rest when it's sunny and hot outside? Stagnation is not my thing. Then again neither is debilitating back pain. I guess I've got to reevaluate my scheduling.
This week the baby is a large mango, 11 inches and change, and over a pound!
I totally caught up on Grey's Anatomy this week that'd been chilling out on my DVR for way too long and found out that Callie delivered her baby at 23 week. Crazy! Totally freaked Richie and I out to see that tiny little preemie and think that's what's kicking around my belly all day and night.
Another crazy: I was getting a pedicure this week (amazing) and nose deep into my Neal Barnard book, Food For Life, and the pedicurist started laughing. I ignored it assuming she was giggling with a pedicurist friend nearby, but turns out as I was getting what felt like the foot rub of my life, she noticed the baby doing a little dance in my stomach. Baby totally loves a good foot rub!
