29 and counting...
Yesterday was my birthday. And I have to be honest, as much as I'd love to love my birthday, I just don't. Every year I try to enjoy the day and be excited about it, but every year I wake up in a funk...and then Richie tells me how ridiculous I am...
Nonetheless, I can't seem to get excited about my birthday. I'm not in the celebratory mood. I'm just funky.
I can't help but feel like it's a reminder of all the things I have not yet accomplished. And though I know that life takes it's turn and often at times the best parts are what life throws us, I can't help but wish I were more successful in certain aspects.
I did my best to see the glass half full and not let my birthday hold me down and here's what I'd really like to work on for this next year:
1. A NEW BABY! Avi needs a sister or brother;)
2. Getting the most out of my holistic nutrition program.
3. Building my fledgling jewelry collection into a solid business with my friend Elle (my new partner).
4. Finishing my cookbook.
5. Growing this blog!
By mid-afternoon I had successfully avoided falling into the abyss of my funkiness and made some plans for the evening. We ventured into neighborhood-to-be with our friends Michelle and Dan for some evening adventures and alcohol. It turned out to be a fun night and I'm thoroughly glad my birthday has passed and I can go back to regular life without all the pressure:)
