2013

Love Life and Lollipops- Happy 2013 Resolutions, plans, dreams, ambitions...  Whatever you call them, the new year seems to make us reflect and promise.

All good things.  If we're not constantly bettering ourselves, than how on earth can we ever be our best selves??

I try to reevaluate regularly.  What am I doing that's working?  Where should I focus my energies?  What do I need to cut out of my life?  My daily routine?  My weekly budget?  What can I be doing better?  What is unrealistic to assume I can accomplish?  How am I doing?  How is Richie doing?  How are my kids?  Do we all smile enough?  How many belly laughs in a week?  Is our food nutritious enough?  Are we moving our bodies enough?  Are we pushing ourselves hard enough?  Are we overdoing it?

There is a lot to think about!  And a lot of places where we can improve.  And a lot of places where we should slow down.

This past year has been a big one.  We raised up a baby.  Sold our apartment.  Moved out of Brooklyn.  And into the burbs.  Bought a house in Jersey (Montclair to be specific).  Richie and I found a new love in Soul Cycle.  Avital learned yoga and is amazing at it.  Bar started walking and talking super early.  And all of us found our grove as a family of four.

My plans for this year are big (and small).  I plan on trying to slow down a bit and enjoying life in the burbs.  With less crazy city energy, I want to pay attention to the falling snow, reading in front of the fire, teaching Avi to swim this summer.  I want to grow my nutrition practice, finish my vegan cookbook, and maybe find my way to teaching spin (since it changed my life and I'd love to be as motivational and inspirational as the amazing instructors I've been learning from).  I want to settle in to our new town and find some kindred spirits to spend this time with.  I want to work on making my house a home and making sure my kids find a wholesome childhood there.

Like I said, I have big plans.  What are yours?  Where do you see yourself this time next year??
